Our Community Our Voice is an independently funded community arts project based in Southwark (funded by TSIP). It aims to involve Southwark residents in anything they want to speak up about, including housing, repairs, mould, refuse, maintenance and the cost of living and we are using access to visual arts, writing/poetry/storytelling, drama, dance and so on to help you get your voice heard.
We work with a wide range of recycled and repurposed materials and are careful and mindful of how we acquire and use everything. Our workshops are also careful and mindful spaces that are intentionally safe, fun, non-judgemental, open and inclusive.
Alongside the therapeutic and empowering experiences the workshops provide, we will also work with local people to bring the art that has been created together into a dynamic exhibition for all to see. Something people, including the authorities, will not be able to ignore!
